Empower ME Academy develops future leaders through basketball, mentorship, and community.
We’re a nonprofit social enterprise that knows the power of young humans. Since 2013 we’ve been on a mission to unlock the leadership potential of children from all backgrounds.
Group Courses
A structured pathway for student-athletes committed to long-term growth, on and off the court.
Seasonal Clinics
Held during school breaks, our camp-style experiences are available to all skill levels – with or without an evaluation.
Competitive Teams
Basketball with a greater purpose. Elite coaching and monthly tournaments for student-athletes who are ready to compete, grow, and lead.
How we work
We take the time to get to know every child, and every family, before
recommending the path that's right for them.
01/Leader Evaluation
This isn’t a tryout. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know your child’s current skill level, goals, and learning style – so we can help them thrive.
The evaluation consists of basic drills to determine skill level
(60 minutes) and a family conversation (15 minutes).
* Your Student Evaluation deposit will be credited back as a Private Session on your child’s birthday.
02/ FOUNDATION SESSIONS
After a successful evaluation, students transition into private or small-group sessions. This is where they will develop positive training habits and the confidence to succeed in our larger group experiences.
Exclusive Privates: Students train 1:1 with a coach, allowing for specialized instruction.
Semi-Privates: 2-4 siblings or friends (close in skill levels) go through the basic instruction period together.
* You will be asked to purchase a bundle of exclusive privates or semi-private sessions to prepare for the next step in their leader journey.
03/group courses
Once students have built a strong foundation, they can progress into our group courses.
These fast-paced sessions challenge young athletes to apply their skills, communicate effectively, support their teammates, and grow as leaders.
