What if your child’s next basketball experience wasn’t just about making a team but becoming the kind of leader the world needs more of?

This August, something different is happening in San Francisco. Something transformational. Something built on values. Something unforgettable.

Introducing the 2025 Culture Combine: a multi-day proving ground where leadership, coachability, and culture matter more than flashy plays or stat lines.

Details:

  • War Memorial Gym, University of San Francisco
  • August 19-22nd from 6-9:00 PM each night
    • Tuesday & Thursday = Rising 5th*, 6th and 7th Grade Boys
    • Wednesday & Friday = Rising 8th Grade & High School 16U Boys
  • $50 per athlete (regardless of grade)**
  • Capacity is 80 athletes max per grade

This isn’t your typical tryout. We’re looking for players can lead, respond to adversity, and serve others – on and off the court.

What You Can Expect:

🏀 Elite skill work + competitive gameplay
🎥 Basketball IQ & film sessions
💬 Character assessments & leadership challenges
🧠 Mindset interviews & coachability feedback
💪🏽 Performance training led by USF’s Strength Coach

This is the kind of culture the game has been looking for. A place where values come first, development is intentional, and every moment is designed to grow the whole person.

Registration is now open!

* Rising 5th grade boys may attend to be considered as practice players

At Empower ME Academy, we believe every child deserves access to transformational experiences. For the Culture Combine, we ask families to invest in the full tuition—not just because your child is guaranteed to leave a better player than when they arrived, but also because it supports our mission and the sustainability of this work.

That said, if finances are the only barrier to your child’s participation, we’re here for you. Tuition Assistance is available upon request, and we’re proud that nearly 30% of our students receive support across all programs.
