3. How has EMA helped you become the leader you are today?

Empower ME Academy has helped me become the leader I am today by instilling qualities such as resilience and integrity since I was 10 years old.

4. What’s the best thing you’ve learned at EMA?

The most valuable thing I’ve learned at EMA is how to interact with people.

As a student, I learned how to communicate within a team setting at a very young age. Now as a coach, I am learning how to communicate and operate within a more professional team setting.

5. How do you show up as a leader on and off the court?

Whether it’s on the court or off the court, one of my favorite ways of displaying leadership is being a vocal energizer. I love seeing someone’s confidence grow through encouragement and empowerment.

6. Who are some leaders that you look up to and why?

A leader I look up to is LeBron James.

On the court, he’s the extension of the head coach. Making sure everyone’s on the same page, and doing their jobs to the best of their ability.

Off the court, he is a leader in his community, where he has built sources of education for kids in need in his hometown.
